REDBAG fiberglass edging, 40 g/m² — 50 mm / 100 mm (20 m / 50 m)

REDBAG fiberglass edging is a reinforcing tape made of thin, lightweight, but strong fiberglass fabric with a density of 40 g/m². It is designed to form clear edges, reinforce surfaces, and prevent cracks during interior finishing work.

  • Appointment

    • Forming even and strong corners and joints (wall-to-wall, wall-to-ceiling).
    • Reinforcing drywall joints and potentially problem areas.
    • The ideal solution for delicate work where strength without excess thickness is important.

Optimal density 40 g/m² — strong, but thin, does not create any leaks.
Easy to use — does not crumble, is easy to apply, interacts well with putty.
Compatible with all types of putties and adhesive mixtures.
    Two width formats:
     - 50 mm — for standard joints, corners, cracks.
     - 100 mm — for reinforced reinforcement, wide joints or areas with increased load.
Two options for roll lengths:20 m — for small volumes, 50 m — for professional use.

  • Preparing the base

The surface to be pasted must be strong, dry, free of grease, dust, as well as old, fragile wallpaper and peeling paint. Level cracks and surface irregularities with putty, sand and then prime*.

    * Prime the bases using REDBAG HOLDERWALL glue diluted with water 1:1, or REDBAG ADHESIS deep penetration primer.

Previously painted surfaces must be sanded (sanded to a rough surface), removed dust, and washed with detergent, then rinsed with clean water. For additional prevention of mold and fungus, treat the surface with an antifungal agent.

  • Work execution technology

REDBAG HOLDERWALL glue should be mixed, not diluted. The relative humidity in the room should not exceed 70%, the air temperature in the room should be from +10 °C to +30 °C. Avoid drafts during application and during subsequent drying of the glue, namely 24 hours.

Measure a piece of fiberglass edging along the height of the wall (length of the ceiling) with a 50 mm margin for leveling. Apply REDBAG HOLDERWALL glue in an even layer to the surface of the wall (ceiling) using a roller or brush. As a rule, the glue is applied to the surface to a width of 1-2 fiberglass edgings. Glue the measured piece of fiberglass edging to the surface. Make all necessary adjustments to the position of the edging while the glue is still dry. If the substrate is slightly absorbent, the working time is 20-25 minutes. However, the glue should not be dry when the fiberglass edge is glued. Press the edge firmly to the substrate with a plastic or steel spatula, pressing the edges with the canvas last. Trim the fiberglass edge along the edge with a knife and spatula. The fiberglass edge can be filled 24 hours after gluing.
