  • Appointment

REDBAG Termofix - a mixture intended for thin-layer masonry of external and internal walls with blocks of aerated concrete, foam concrete, shell rock, etc. The mixture can be used for puttying the surfaces of porous blocks (aerated concrete, foam concrete) inside buildings. The thickness of the joints is from 2 to 6 mm.

For puttying the surfaces of porous blocks outside buildings, use the REDBAG 222 mixture with facade reinforcing glass mesh.

  • Preparing the base

Preparation of the base when gluing blocks is carried out in accordance with DSTU-N B A.3.1-23:2013 and DSTU-N B V.2.6-212:2016. The blocks must be dry, not frozen, strong, capable of bearing loads, cleaned of dust, dirt, oils and other substances that reduce adhesion. At high temperatures and low humidity, it is recommended to moisten the surface of the blocks before laying.

Before puttying, the base of porous blocks should be primed with a vapor-permeable primer for hygroscopic surfaces REDBAG POROBAR.

  • Cooking method

Pour the REDBAG Termofix dry mixture into a container with clean water (at the rate of 4.75-5.5 l of water per 25 kg or 190-220 ml per 1 kg of dry mixture), mix using a construction mixer until a homogeneous mass without lumps is formed. Leave for 3 minutes and mix again.

Do not add other materials to the prepared adhesive solution.

Attention! REDBAG mixtures are created on the basis of modern high-tech recipes using the latest additives from world manufacturers.

When preparing the mixture, use water only in the volume indicated on the packaging!

  • Work execution technology

Work should be carried out at a base temperature of +5 °C to +30 °C. The prepared adhesive solution should be applied evenly to the horizontal and vertical surfaces of the blocks with a notched trowel or spatula in a layer of 2-6 mm. The adhesive solution should be applied to the entire horizontal surface without leaving free zones. The solution is applied to the vertical surface in a thin, even layer. The position of the aerated concrete block should be adjusted using a rubber mallet. After laying the aerated concrete block, remove any possible adhesive residue.

The shelf life of the mortar mixture is 2 hours. The blocks must be laid no later than 15 minutes from the moment of applying the adhesive solution. The block should be adjusted within 10 minutes. after its installation.

To fill the surface, the mortar mixture should be applied using a ladle and a stainless steel metal trowel and spread in an even continuous layer to the required thickness. The maximum layer thickness should not exceed 6 mm per application.

  • Mixture consumption

from 21 kg/m3 (depending on the thickness of the adhesive layer).

REDBAG Termofix mixture complies with: EN 998-2 class T-M5-A1 and C.1.MR2 DSTU B V.2.7-126:2011

Shelf life and storage conditions: 12 months from the date of manufacture, in a dry place, in undamaged original packaging. The date of manufacture is indicated on the packaging.
